Technical specifications of the microbioreactor system identified

The combination of the know-how of automated cell culture device users in the pharmaceutical industry, academic researchers in the area and of companies focussing on developing said devices, constitutes a unique structural advantage of the iConsensus project. The technical specifications of the microbioreactor system for cell culture, which has been envisioned to become one of the major project results of iConsensus, were defined in close cooperation of developer of the device (m2p-labs), the pharmaceutical partners and the academic lab performing cell bioprocessing (KTH). The agreed specifications encompass the desired applications of the device as screening tool for cell culture together with the required online analytical tools. The specifications identified will help to uniquely position the new microbioreactor system device in the competitive market in Europe.
